Final Major Project- Fine Art 2013 Visual Diary pages

I have added pages from my Visual Diary as i feel these can help me  and others when thinking about ways of  making your pages exciting using mixed medias i have tried making all my pages different and something fresh to look at on each page but also trying to keep some similarities to make the book flow.

I have decided to add this to my blog as i used a different methord  of
applying the paint i used my fingers and left to dry and then added more
paint with my fingers this worked out well to create a similar effect to Jim
Dines techniques.

These pages are my favorite pages on artist research i picked this artist as she looks at circle geometric shapes but uses different medias than my other artists as she specializes on textiles and my others are mainly fine art. In these pages i added lace to add a textile touch which i think adds something to the page to add the connection of textiles into my book.

Richard Long is my main influence as he works mainly
with natural medias, sticks leaves mud and stones. His
different ways of working with his medias sometimes
working at large scales and sometimes working small
appeals to me. 

With my pages  for Richard long i stuck to browns as he works mainly with browns and stony colours i used newspapers to break up the plainness and layers different medias to make the pages look busy.

Kandinsky is my other main influence for a different reason than
Richard Long. Kandinsky is my influence for his us colorful, expressive
and mixed media circles.

This page i feel has a good us of experiment on it as i
feel it shows who i am influenced by just by looking at it.
I created this piece page using acrylics.

This page shows some of the research i picked up at Manchester Art Gallery. There wasn't much at the Gallery which linked to my project but i picked up mainly some artist techniques and different medias which i could work with.

This page is research on CY Twombly one of my favorite artists who has inspired me many times in different projects. i enjoy creating compositions similar to Twomblys as his expressive ways of working with paints and chalks show his true feelings and really get his point across in his art.

I collected these imagery from my local woods i felt that i needed to collect natural surroundings to collect different colours, patterns and medias which are natural and i can us to create my Final compositions. I experimented with creating  the images in my own way and colours.

These pages mainly concentrated on sticks and tree trunks as i feel strongly about using these in my final composition as these are one of the most natural surroundings when walking around anywhere. These pages in my opinion would be better if i hadnt painted around the images so you can see them clearer.

This page was collected from a book i looked at i picked to look at these different circle ideas as they are created with nature i am deffonataly going to work with sticks in my Final compositions as i feel these are one of the easiest natural medias to work with which also has textures.

This page is from my visit to Chester Zoo i mainly collected research on animals with patterns which i could then change and us in my pre limbs and then maybe my Final compositions.

I looked into a method of print using circular fruits as wanted to look into different ways of creating circles and working with different medias. These prints worked out well using paint to create the print as it showed all the markings in the inside of the print i want to look into more ways of creating different prints using different circular medias.   

i looked into ripples as they create a natural circle and it is hard to find such a natural circle in nature. It interests me how a certain amount of pressure on the water can create so many natural circle.

I have done research on galaxies as they also have a circle form and there us of colours which flow and work together i wont to look more into working with the effect of small particles forming together. i wanted to express these using a splatting effect. 

This page is looking more into planets and how they are formed. I have looked into these as everyone knows about planets and there circle forms. I also looked into them with there bright colours as i think the colours can work well creating a Kandinsky piece using the planet colours with the mixes of different shades and tones.

Colour meaning is a important part of this project as i aim  to express my feelings through my compositions do knowing this i looked into what colours mean so i know what colours are best to us in  my compositions.

With this composition i experimented with paint layering and sizes i did this to see what textures and what i could create with layering. i decided that from this outcome i will work more with different prints. This is done with normal watered acrylic paints.

This small Pre-limb was created using plaster and paper masha. this is influenced by my plants research. I first did a simple experimenting with textures and then went into adding a planet colour. From this point i decided i wonted to work more with plaster.
